Rough Cut

After another hour of filming this morning, I have been able to upload a full rough cut.
I will ask for opinions from others and record them, which I will be able to use as part of my evaluation, but it will also help me get opinions from people in my target audience.

Here is the rough cut:

  1. 00:11 - Should read Directed, Produced & Edited by Amy Washbourne (with "Produced& Edited" on one line and "by Amy Washbourne" on the next

00:14 - Try to get your opening shot to cut in on the beat rather than just before it

00:22 - some of your footage (e.g. 00:22, 00:29 etc.) could do with having contrast/ brightness ramped slightly - you should aim for the same balance as e.g. 00:19 - it looks a little too washed out. Aim for a more chiaroscuro effect

A thought - you might want to put a different effect on your "performance" footage - perhaps a different tint or more artistic effect? - to differentiate it from the narrative section?

01:55 - some of the miming is a little off - you might want to try tightening this up?

    Video cuts off at 2:01

At the moment, this is L2/3 for footage and L3 for editing:

The quality of the camerawork demonstrates some proficiency in material appropriate to the task set, including controlled use of the camera, attention to framing, variety of shot sizes and attention to mise en scene, although some aspects are less than successful (for example, degradation of some of the footage in the woods). Mostly lower L3.

Some proficiency in editing so that meaning is apparent to the viewer with selective and appropriate use of shot transition and other effects - you just about manage to maintain tempo/ rhythm and the pace of editing is appropriate to the nature of the track, although as a whole there is a slight lack of cohesion. In terms of recording and editing of sound with images - this is reasonable although overall there is a slight confusion in terms of meaning/ focus.

    Current mark: 24/40
